ARCHITECTURE
1. The building I chose to do a portrait of a building was the Old Town Hall in Somerset, Massachusetts.
2. Back when this building had first been finished, it was used as a meeting place in the town. Today, it sits near the library and is still used for meetings.
3. I took six different shots of this building. I chose to photograph the building from an angle each time, liking the way it made the building looked.
I focused my camera on the sides of the building and its front. I included close up shots of the carving details, sign on the building, and address.
4. I tried to communicate the age and history of the building through my photographs. I chose to do this by highlighting the older parts of the building.
5. The image of the sign on the building shows it's character the best. The words themselves, in the old fashioned font and with the date and ship drawing, the character of the building really comes through.
